““This last while has been strange and disappointing for everyone, and I have tried my best to keep a spirit of hopeful optimism, but with the light at the end of the tunnel feeling further and further away, the exhaustion of it all has really hit me hard lately. I tried to keep things moving - I wrote, recorded and released a digital EP independently, without much of a budget or any option of touring. It felt good to put something out, but it also didn’t feel real. I have wondered lately, if I am not actively creating and sharing art, am I still an artist? And if I am not an artist, what am I? I am so grateful for the people in my life who have validated my identity throughout this existential spiral, reminding me that I am indeed still an artist, and I will still be one on the other side of all of this too.””
