In 2020, Industry gathered artists from seven countries to share their experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic through a web series called The Corona Diaries. The following year, these artists collaborated again to imagine a world post-COVID, creating mythologies for a new age, or Fables for a New World, one of which was The Gavel. Now, Industry is proud to produce The Gavel, an audio drama written by Harry Long, music and sound design by Brain Rays, recorded at Sorting Room Studios, Devon, U.K.

Brain Rays is music producer and composer, Benjamin Hudson. He created the soundtrack for Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction (BBC1), as well as co-composing on Dean Puckett’s new feature The Severed Sun, The Sermon (Palm Springs) and Satan's Bite (Cannes). He has soundtracked films for The National Theatre, Sophia Ray (adidas Runners) and Italian fashion photographer Stella Asia Consonni (Vogue Italia ‘Not Your Girl’), and provided music for the BAFTA winning short film, Home.
Harry Long has written mostly for theatre, though he is currently working on his first novel. Plays he has written, co-written or co-adapted for stage include The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, A Rat’s Tale, The Story Giant, Smugglers, Griselda’s Grandad, The Horse Whisperer, Holy Mackerel, The Ladykillers of Humber Doucy Lane, and The Famous Four and a half Go Wild in Thetford Forest. As you can probably tell from the titles, many of these were very silly. He is also an actor, working in theatre and television.
