“#IAmStillAnArtist is the definition of resilience to me. It’s a statement that shows that through life’s ups and down, I still prevail and push through with my purpose. It means that I matter and the art I create matters as well. Over the past 18 months my practice has consisted of me continuing to develop my vocal technique, practising daily, and staying consistent with songwriting. I have faced some challenges in losing out on some gigs because they had to be canceled due to our current circumstances, but I’ve also been triumphant in having the honour to perform at many different gigs within Hamilton, and also currently taking part in the City’s artist development program.”
