To me, #IAmStillAnArtist means even with all the changes to our industry - we are still here and we are still thriving. At the beginning of the pandemic, arts are what kept us going. Movies, television, music, free dance performance streamings, free concerts, books, writing - were all things that kept us motivated, occupied and sane. As it became clear that the pandemic was not ending any time soon artists needed to adapt and change the way that they viewed their art forms and their training. My dance floor became my basement which slowly morphed into my home studio. However staying motivated became the challenge. So much of dance is about the physical connection with fellow dancers in the room and without that you needed to find a new way to stay motivated and inspired.
